Commercial Clay Tile Roof Tune-Up and Silicone Coating in Desert Hot Springs

BYLTup's Desert Hot Springs technicians completed a basic roof tune-up and roof repair covering the clay tile roofs over the one-story house: carefully swept and removed dirt and debris from the roof and hauled it away to a proper dumpsite as needed; carefully sealed pipes and penetrations with high-performance silicone caulking as needed; painted pipe jack counter flashings to match as needed; replaced 80 broken clay tiles to match existing; supplied and installed new counter flashing at the chimney; and carefully removed one 10-by-10-foot area of existing clay tiles, replaced underlayment, and reinstalled the tiles per existing; plus installed a Mule-Hide silicone roof coating system covering the rear patio flat roof only: carefully removed 90 linear feet of existing fascia and hauled it away to a proper dumpsite; carefully cleaned the roof and power-washed in preparation for silicone roof coating; carefully prepared seams throughout the roof with Mule-Hide silicone sealant at a coverage rate of 3.3 gallons per 100 linear feet of seams and let cure; installed one coat of Mule-Hide 100 percent silicone top coat at a coverage rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet and let cure; supplied and installed 90 linear feet of 2x8 pressure-treated fascia, primed and painted to match existing; and replaced 90 linear feet of 2-inch by 4-inch galvanized edge metal at the perimeter of the patio flat roof, under a BYLTup 1 Year Labor Warranty on the coating system.

BYLTup's Desert Hot Springs technicians installed a GAF Class A Timberline HDZ R/S shingle roof system covering the sloped roof over the 1-story mobile home: carefully removed one layer of existing composition shingle roofing material and hauled it away; installed new 2-inch by 4-inch galvanized edge metal at the roof perimeter; installed two layers of GAF Tiger Paw Premium Roof Deck Protection to the entire roof surface; installed GAF-approved film-surfaced leak barrier at valleys, wall terminations, and roof penetrations; installed new GAF Pro-Start starter strip shingles at all eave and rake edges; installed new galvanized roof-to-wall metal, step flashings, and pipe and vent cap flashings with collars and painted to match; installed new GAF Timberline HDZ R/S shingles with 5 coil nails per shingle; installed 55 linear feet of GAF Cobra Exhaust Mesh Roll Ridge Vent covering main ridge lines only; and installed new GAF 10-inch Ridglass dimensional hip and ridge trim to match shingles.
