DaVinci Roofscapes invited us into the Masterpiece Contractor Program after seeing how our crews handle premium work — craftsmanship, professionalism, and clean installs that stand up to Southern California weather and HOA scrutiny. Our certification took effect on September 24, 2026.
This sits alongside our other manufacturer credentials: GAF Master Elite (residential), GAF GoldElite (commercial), GAF Solar Certified, IB Roof Systems Tier 1, and Enphase.
Why DaVinci chose BYLTup
DaVinci built the Masterpiece Contractor Program for contractors who treat composite shake and slate like the finish product they are — not a commodity. Their local team nominated us based on the quality of projects and customer experience they had already seen from our crews. Membership is selective: nomination, application and insurance, training with DaVinci’s team, and ongoing project registration to stay active.
We did not buy a badge. We earned an invite, completed the application, and got cleared to register DaVinci projects as a Masterpiece Contractor.
What this means for homeowners
When you choose DaVinci through a Masterpiece Contractor, you get more than a pretty roof.
The product. DaVinci composite shake and slate deliver the look of wood or natural stone without the rot, insects, and breakage that chase real wood and quarried slate. Profiles we install include Class A fire-rated options — the fire class that Southern California wildfire seasons make non-negotiable for many streets and HOAs.
The install. Masterpiece membership puts us in direct contact with DaVinci project specialists for color support and project backing while the job is in production. That matters when a homeowner is choosing Castle Gray slate against California light, or matching Select Shake to an existing elevation.
The paper. On our signed DaVinci contracts, coverage is stated clearly: DaVinci’s Limited Manufacturer’s Material Warranty on the slate or shake, Eco Chief’s Limited Lifetime Warranty on the underlayment, and BYLTup’s 5 Year Labor Warranty. We do not invent warranty names or exclusivity claims beyond what the manufacturer and the signed HIC say.
The outcome. You get a roof that photographs like a historic material and performs like a modern system — installed by a crew that DaVinci has already vetted for this product line.

Membership is not theoretical. We already have signed DaVinci work moving through production:
1. Rolling Hills — DaVinci Province Slate (Castle Gray) reroof, currently in progress
2. Irvine — DaVinci Select Shake, awarded and in the production queue
3. Rolling Hills Estates — DaVinci Select Shake, awarded and in the production queue

We will keep registering DaVinci projects through the Masterpiece portal, stacking the same discipline we already bring to GAF, IB, and Enphase work.
